Eileen Benkin Gross

Eileen Benkin Gross joined the Philadelphia Eagles cheerleaders just as Veterans Stadium opened for the 1971-1972 season, and was co-captain, while studying for her teaching degree and working. Eileen grew up and attended school in Philadelphia, earning a summa cum laude Bachelor of Science degree from Temple University, and she went on to teach.

More recently, she ran her own business while raising her three children, Michael, David and Kevin, with her husband Brian of 45 years. Her lifelong love of football and cheering – starting as a high school cheerleader and co-captain – and countless experiences related to the sport have brought her to this moment.
