Kim Makuvek
1980’s Decade Representative

Kim Makuvek grew up in Easton, PA and currently resides in the Poconos. She received her college degree in 1984 from Kutztown University; a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communication Design, and worked at a Graphic Design Studio for several years. While working as a graphic designer, Kim cheered for the Philadelphia Eagles from 1984-1987.

In 1992 her career switched paths and she worked for a large oil corporation for 25 years as a Safety and Environmental Advisor, traveling extensively around the globe. Now in retirement, Kim is back to art full time and selling her work via her Etsy shop. While her years of cheerleading were exciting (the “80s Ladies” rock!), she is especially proud of the fundraising efforts and performances that the former cheerleaders have participated in as an alumni group since 2009.
